2005-2006 Fort Worth Christian Varsity Schedule(pre-season)

10/15/05-10/16/05 Fossil Ridge Pre-season Shootout (Fossil RidgeHigh School) - Off to a great start this season. FWC played fourgames, all against 5A UIL schools(large public schools). Istarted every game. I had to play the power forward positionbecause my team was short handed for the tournament. FWCdefeated Fossil Ridge, Keller & McKinney. Our loss was to KellerCentral.

11/1/05 Intra Squad Scrimmage (Home) - Two hours of basketballagainst my toughest competition, my teammates. Coach Thannumreally mixed up the squads so the got a little raggedat times but for the most part we looked like we are going to bea tough team to beat this year. FWC will be making a hard run atwinning state this year.

11/5/05 Fort Worth Southwest Christian Scrimmage (Away) - I hadto take my SAT test this morning so I did not get to thescrimmage until the start of the second quarter. I should havejust skipped the scrimmage anyway, I did not play very well. Thetesting and rushing to get to the scrimmage from an hour awaytook more out of me than I imagined it could. I had 2 points, 2assists, 2 rebounds and 4 steals.

2005-2006 Fort Worth Christian Varsity Schedule(regular season)

11/8/05 Tyler Grace Community (Home) - This was my first starton varsity for FWC. I may have started the game a little tooexcited, I stupidly picked up three fouls in the first quarterbut finished strong playing the entire third quarter in whatended up being a FWC 79-52 Tyler rout. I ended with 6 points, shooting 3-5, with 4 rebounds and 4 steals.

11/12/05 Carrollton Christian (Away) - Coach started our fiveseniors and they were awesome in our 59-47 win. My offensivestill isn't on track but our starters this game had it handledand I think I still put in a strong game. I shot 1-4 for 2points, I had 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. A really fungame, I came in as swing man, then moved to center and then alittle point.

11/15/05 North Crowley (Home) - Big props to Kelvin Lewis atNorth Crowley, good luck next year at Auburn. No one has evershot that well against me. I started this game and tried tocover Kelvin man-to-man all game but obviously I didn't do avery good job since we lost 79-58. I am very proud of the factthat Kelvin also covered me all game man-to-man, and I managed 9points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

11/18/05 Arlington Oakridge (Home) - My team came back nicelyfollowing our loss last game. We beat Arlington Oakridge 65-50.I started again, and was given the opportunity to cover QuintonMoss, who was at the time their leading scorer. I'm happy to beback to my normal self defensively, I was able to hold Quintonto zero points for the game. I only scored 9 points myself, with4 rebounds, but I'm just happy that we were able to start a newwinning streak.

11/19/05 Grapevine (Home) - This was a huge game for me.Grapevine is the public school I would be attending if I werenot at Fort Worth Christian. So just my luck I collided kneeswith one of our centers during warm-ups. I still started thegame, but my legs were never under me the entire game andunfortunately I had to play heavy minutes too. I only scored 8points but luckily my team still pulled out a 64-58 win. I alsochipped in with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.

11/26/05 Houston Gulf Coast Academy(Trinity Valley Classic) -The senoirs started this game and by the time I came into thegame, it was already

a rout. All 12 active players on my teamscored, in our 104-57 victory. I chipped in with 10 points.

11/27/05 Fort Worth Southwest Christian (Trinity Valley Classic)- I started this game at center, and won the jump-ball. I neededto control Southwest Christian's 6'4", all-tournament center,Chris Sturtavent, for my team to win. I held him below hisaverage but really contributed more on the offensive end. I wasthe leading scorer on my team with 17 points and we won 66-49.

11/27/05 Fort Worth Nolan Catholic (Trinity Valley Classic) - Myteam played Nolan Catholic in the finals of this year's TrinityValley Classic. Unfortunately, we played poorly and lookedtired, while they hit nearly every three pointer they shot. Wesuffered our worst defeat of the season so far. I started andscored 13 points in the loss. I am happy, though, about beingnamed to the 2005 Trinity Valley Classic All-Tournament Team.

11/29/05 Lipan (Away) - We played like garbage against a teamthat we should have dominated. We lost 46-45. I started and wasthe leading scorer with just 11 points, enough said.

12/1/05 Lubbock Estacado (Spring Creek Barbecue ArlingtonClassic) - My team struggled offensively. We lost our third gamein a row. I started but only scored 6 points in a 60-52 loss.

12/2/05 Mansfield Summit (Spring Creek Barbecue ArlingtonClassic) - We ran into Team Texas starter Preston Davis, andformer Team Texas, current Dallas Mustang, Evan Randall. Thiswas an embarrassing loss. Our fourth in a row and Summit scoredtwice as much as us. Coach started the senoirs. I came off thebench at the center and power foward positions. I stillcontributed and was the second leading scorer on my team withonly 9 points.

12/3/05 Dallas Madison (Spring Creek Barbecue Arlington Classic)- I started and had my best game of the season. My team brokeout of our losing streak with a 69-52 win. I played all butthree minutes of the game, switching between the forwardpositions, and scored 21 points.

12/6/05 Lake Worth (Home) - I started but didn't have a verygood game. We won 50-40, thanks mostly to playing at homebecause our defense was awlful. We had five players score indouble digits. I chipped in with 10 points. My Dad and I were ina car accident that totaled my Dad's car an hour before my gameand my neck and back are cramping up real bad. Definitely not mybest performance but it was all I could do to just concentrateand stay in the game.
